First Snow 2019
In November 2019, the snow had just freshly fallen in St. Davids, Ontario. During this time in my life, I was on a journey of self-discovery, my family had suffered a heartbreaking loss, it was the hardest experience of my life. I went on walks regularly to breathe. The fresh air in St. Davids during autumn is a mixture of freshly picked grapes and crisp fallen leaves. One morning on a regular walk I came across this breathtaking scene and during this moment I finally felt at peace. This painting represents love, grace and rejuvenation. I dedicate it to my Grandmother, Diane Fogg, may your memory live on in all of the hearts and lives you touched.
